vArmour Fortifies Security and Compliance for Microsoft Azure Environments

Announces ‘Conform’ technology for Azure to bridge security and policy requirements for public and private cloud

vArmour, the API-driven cloud security company, has announced the availability of its Conform technology for Microsoft Azure environments, providing security operators with common and consistent security and compliance management and controls across cloud platforms.

With the worldwide public cloud services market projected to grow 17.3 percent in 2019 (to total $206.2 billion), the new investments recognize the urgent need for security solutions that protect data and applications that are increasingly being sprawled across public and private cloud environments, especially for organizations in heavily regulated industries.

“Our research highlights the reality that many organizations choose multi- or hybrid-cloud models when increasing their cloud usage”, said Fernando Montenegro, Senior Analyst of Information Security at 451 Research. “In this scenario, with increasing need for management of regulated workloads across clouds, security teams need a way to maintain consistent security visibility and policy on multiple environments.”

A core technology that powers its products and services, vArmour’s Conform addresses anxiety among security teams who are struggling with their organization’s rapid expansion to hybrid cloud. Conform links security and compliance policy requirements to public and private cloud. Without it, security and IT pros are left to the overwhelming task of reconciling diverse compliance rules to their disparate cloud environments, each with its own unique security controls and nuances.

As a result of its work enhancing and extending Azure’s cloud-native security capabilities, vArmour achieved Microsoft Gold certification for Conform.

“vArmour’s Conform technology is helping businesses drive consistent and continuous compliance across hybrid cloud,” said Tim Eades, CEO at vArmour. “It abstracts hybrid cloud complexity for security professionals, and speeds up the adoption of public clouds like Azure. We’re excited to be working with Microsoft to jointly help our customers protect their data and applications.”

Paul Maher, General Manager, Industry Experiences at Microsoft added, “As businesses across industries are accelerating their adoption of public clouds, vArmour’s Conform technology helps businesses secure their applications across their data centers and accelerate their adoption of Microsoft Azure.”

vArmour’s Conform technology is available today from all vArmour partners.
