With over 20 years of leadership experience in sales, marketing, and executive management at the CEO level, Tim has deep expertise in driving high growth for computing, security and enterprise software companies. Tim joined vArmour as CEO in October, 2013. Prior to that, he was the CEO at Silver Tail Systems from March, 2010 until the company was acquired by RSA, the security division of EMC in late 2012. Prior to leading Silver Tail Systems, Tim was CEO of Everyone.net, an SMB focused SaaS company that was acquired by Proofpoint. Tim has also held sales and marketing executive leadership positions at BEA Systems, Sana Security, Phoenix Technologies and IBM. Tim holds advanced degrees in business, international marketing, and financial analysis, primarily from Solent University in England.

Roger has been working in leadership roles within network and security industry for more than 20 years. Roger co-founded vArmour in January, 2011 with Michael Shieh and served as CEO until October, 2013. Previously to vArmour, Roger was active Vice President of Engineering at Anchiva Systems, a high performance content security solution provider. Prior to that, he was a member in NetScreen’s software security team. After NetScreen was acquired by Juniper in 2004, Roger was a member of the security product development. His prior experience includes founding engineer at Netcom Online Services which went public in 1994 and senior developer at the Wollongong Group. Roger received his Master of Science in Software Engineering from Seattle University and Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan.
Michael Shieh CO-FOUNDER AND CTO CO-FOUNDER AND CTO
Michael brings more than 15 years of engineering expertise in the network security industry. Michael co-founded vArmour in January, 2011 with Roger Lian. Prior to vArmour, Michael was a member of the development team of Converged Service at Juniper Networks. Prior to Juniper Networks, he was a development manager at Netscreen. His prior experience also includes various engineering positions in Lucent Technology and Delta Electronics. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Masters of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Missouri, Columbia.

Eva has more than 20 years of experience leading strategic initiatives and managing company telemetry to grow pipeline and drive demand, most recently at Citrix and BEA Systems. Her transformational work in innovation and technology leadership has been recognized with significant industry awards and patents. She was selected by Silicon Valley Business Journal in 2015 as one of Silicon Valley's 100 Most Influential Women and won the 2014 Marketer That Matters™ award, sponsored by The Wall Street Journal. Prior to BEA Systems, Eva held strategic roles at BroadVision and Oracle, launching digital business operations for Fortune 500 companies. Eva holds a BS and a MS in Computer Science from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Keith Stewart brings 15 years of experience in product management from top networking companies. He recently was the Senior Director of Product Management at Riverbed Technology and previously held the same position at Brocade, where he lead the services products group through multiple sequential quarters of 50%+ growth and led the company’s software-defined networking strategy. He also had an extensive run at Cisco where he was responsible for product management of Cisco’s flagship security platforms. Keith holds a BSc, Mathematics and Electrical Engineering from Queens’ University and a MSc, Management Science from Stanford University.
Marc Woolward CTO CTO
Marc has over 30 years of experience in mission critical infrastructure and software-defined networks. Marc joined vArmour as CTO in February, 2015. Prior to this role he was a Technology Fellow and the CTO for Networking and Telecommunications at Goldman Sachs. He served as a member of the Technical Advisory Group and as the founder and leader of the Security Working Group within the Open Networking Foundation (ONF). Earlier in his career he managed infrastructure at Cantor Fitzgerald and Coutts & Co. Marc has a decade’s worth of experience architecting and implementing datacenter software automation, and private cloud architectures. Marc is currently British and Worldcup Masters Surfkayak Champion and has represented England at the international level for several years.
Demetrios Lazarikos (Laz) CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER CHIEF INFORMATION SECURITY OFFICER
Demetrios Lazarikos (Laz), a recognized visionary for building Information Security, fraud, and big data analytics solutions, is the vArmour Chief Information Security Officer (CISO). Laz has more than 30 years experience in building and supporting some of the largest InfoSec programs for Financial Services, Retail, Hospitality, and Transportation verticals. Laz’s past roles include: IT Security Researcher and Strategist at Blue Lava Consulting, CISO at Sears, CISO at Silver Tail Systems (acquired by RSA/EMC), VP of Strategic Initiatives at ReddShell Corporation (acquired by TrustWave), and a former PCI QSA. Laz is an Adjunct Professor at Pepperdine University's Graziadio School of Business and Management, holds a Master’s in Computer Information Security from the University of Denver, an MBA from Pepperdine University, and has earned several security and compliance certifications.
Mark Weatherford SVP, CHIEF CYBERSECURITY STRATEGIST SVP, CHIEF CYBERSECURITY STRATEGIST
Mark Weatherford has more than 20 years of security operations leadership and executive-level policy experience in some of the most important organizations in the world. Weatherford is focused on helping customers meet the evolving security needs of the cloud and 21st century data centers, while expanding vArmour’s global customer base across all industries in the government and commercial markets. Mark’s past experience includes his role as a principal at The Chertoff Group (he still remains a senior advisor), where he worked with organizations around the world to understand corporate cyber risk and develop strategic enterprise security solutions. In 2011, President Obama appointed Weatherford as the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) first deputy under secretary for cybersecurity for a two-year period. Before DHS, he was the vice president and chief security officer at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC). Prior to NERC, he was appointed by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to serve as California’s first chief information security officer (CISO) and was also the first CISO for the State of Colorado, where two successive governors appointed him. A former cryptologist in the U.S. Navy, Weatherford led the Navy’s Computer Network Defense Operations and the Naval Computer Incident Response Team.
Tony Paterra VP OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT VP OF PRODUCT MANAGEMENT
As the VP of Product Management, Tony brings 15 years of security industry experience growing highly successful product lines. At Cisco, Tony was responsible for running Cisco's NGFW products, integrating SourceFire into the ASA, and building IronPort's east coast web security business. Prior to Cisco, Tony consulted for the intelligence and DoD community on datacenter builds and disaster recovery wireless communications. Tony holds an MBA from Boston College as well as a Bachelors in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. He's a die-hard Pittsburgh Steeler fan whose family has held season tickets for over 60 years.
